  What if you would invest into emotional and mental health?

Did you know that excessive stress can shave years off of your life expectancy? It can also put you at risk for other chronic illnesses that can dramatically impact your quality of life.

If you’re interested in investing more time and energy into your emotional and mental health and are looking for ways to manage your stress and cope with uncomfortable emotions, let’s chat. You might know that I went through a burnout and that costs a lot of time to recover, so my aim today is, preventing the diseases that can occur from stress. 

What is stress?

The HPA axis is a major neuroendocrine system that controls reactions to stress and regulates many body processes, including digestion, the immune system, sleep cycles etc.

Symptoms of HPA-axis dysfunction include:

  •  Anxiety and/or depression
  •  Blood pressure issues
  •  Brain fog
  •  Dizziness, especially when standing from a seated position
  •  Dry skin
  •  Fatigue, particularly during the morning and mid-afternoon
  •  Immune system compromise
  •  Increased abdominal fat
  •  Increased appetite
  •  Low sex drive
  •  Poor blood sugar control
  •  Poor circulation
  •  Poor muscle tone
  •  Salt cravings
  •  Sleep problems
  •  Slow wound healing
  •  Thyroid dysfunction

Often it is the very very old stress sitting in our nervous system that plays the role in the subconscious. We don’t even know that we are constantly in the sympathetic nervous system, on the fight and flight modus. Let’s get back into the parasympathetic nervous system, the rest and digest part of the nervous system. That’s where we transform our health.

Just another information why my coachings are so powerful, they are happening in the meditative state, the theta brain wave, the wave of dream sleep, when the unconscious mind begins to release the memories, suppression, karmic patterns (called samskara in yoga philosophy). This state can be very healing if you can release which is in your unconscious without getting attached to what is coming up or trying to interpret it.

When all of your samskaras have been released, your brain goes back into delta waves, which are the waves experienced in sleep.

 

This can also happen after a yoga class, it is when you are awake in deep sleep that you experience samadhi. For most of us it is difficult to get into delta rhythms in Shavasana, because we fall asleep.
